Hi-
I was on United 1059 yesterday from IAH-SFO (12 August) and we had a strange go-around. Our plane was lined up on final to 28L and there was another United aircraft off our left landing on parallel 28R at the same time. I'd seen this before but this time the parallel aircraft seemed super close. Just as we passed "the bridge" our aircraft did quite a dramatic go-around, pulling up and left much more violently than I've experienced a go-around before.
Pilot said it was due to the parallel aircraft setting off our TCAS - or that is what I got from his announcement. And he seemed verbally kind of in shock when he gave the announcement to the paxs.
I've been trying to find the ATC recording to no avail. Must be getting my ZULU times wrong...? Or maybe it is on 28 L/R approach feed, as I was looking on the towers feed for SFO.
Could someone here who is good at this stuff try to track it down?
