I can sure sympathize with this fellow. With the average seat size in coach of about 17.5", my 28" wide shoulders mean that I am going to have to occupy someone else's space. This isn't about weight which I could lose some of but that won't shrink my skeleton. At slightly over 6'1", most cars are also uncomfortable to me with the seats at the far back setting. Chances are that makes the backseat practically uninhabitable also. Our scientists tell us that we are getting larger on average all the time but we are forced into smaller seats in smaller aircraft and cars.
