I was listening to KLAX this morning and watching the two web cams for 25R. I heard them clear an American 737 to takeoff but that is all I heard. I switch to the departure cam where I caught the 737 lifting off and what appears to be another aircraft taxing across 25R. Tell me what you think.

from the angle it looks like the plane could have been taxiing from anywhere. It also easily could have been told to cross after the departure went by. Tough to tell with just that picture.

To my eye, it appears they are holding short

After looking at it and having a couple other guys look at it.... I think they have crossed 25R and taxing to the gate... It still looks mighty close to me! Probably the camera angle, but then again it is LAX!!

i think you got way too much time on your hands.i will put my trust on my LA brothers that they know how to do there jobs.

I Know, having summers off and all holidays is a real bummer for me! Damn School Districts! LoL... I love LAX!

I believe the terminology is incursion not near miss.

US Airways is holding short of the runway on taxiway hotel. It just looks like the aircraft is crossing the runway because of it's posture and the camera angle. The low contrast/brightness because of the low vis also adds to the optical illusion.

Thanks Swivel for not criticizing me in some way. That makes sense
