Tech Support Question
« on: October 25, 2007, 12:22:12 PM »
Apologies in advance if this is not the place to ask.

I get the live feeds on my home computer, which uses version 10.0 of Windows Media Player.  My computer at work is brand new, and when I click on the live feeds, the website cannot be found.  I assume the newer version of WMP is not recognizing M3U files.  Any advice?

That happens on my work computer also.

If you're set on WMP, try manually pasting the alternate URL for the feed into the Open URL box.  Otherwise you may have to try a diferrent program.  At work, I have to open the feeds using the DVD player software...it sucks.

Most likely your place of employment is using a firewall to block the port that the audio player uses to receive the stream.  As AH suggested, try the alternate link that is included on the feeds page.   That should work, assuming your company doesn't block streaming audio feeds in general.

at my job we specifically block streaming audio because its a bandwidth hog but im in charge of it so my system has no restrictions
