This is an, um, interesting video. :)

This video just surfaced in the aviation newsgroups as well.
Someone there spotted the disclaimer, which is somewhat buried in the website, that this video is a clever fake.
Read the disclaimer here:

I'm so disappointed in you guys... and you call yourselves ATC buffs. Ha. :D
What I mean is - I spotted this as a fake in the first 10 seconds. You're wondering how? Because there are only about 2 antennas on the one in the video, and what strikes me as amazing every time I see the thing on TV is how it flies with so many antennas on it.. Look:

And that's just what we can see from this angle. When you see it from the side like the video it looks more like a porcupine than an airplane.

I know I could fly that thing. I know I can, I know I can.
:-)

Of course it's fake. You can tell that because the guy isn't lying in a pool of his own blood right after climbing the fence. ;)
But it's a very impressive fake.

Yeah- I was going to say, Security Forces would have been on him very quickly. There must be multiple cameras and sensors around the real AF1. Let alone the K9 and other multiple personnel.
But... very impressive fake.

Not to mention that they "shoot first, ask questions if necessary" if someone were to approach either 28000 or 29000. Both are protected to the same standards.

that plane is awesome. does anyone know what the little bump in the nose of the plane is?

That's the escape pod. Didn't you see Air Force One with Harrison Ford? :D
Actually, that's the mid-air refuelling receptacle.

I'm going to ignore the fact that it was fake...
That's an awesome clip! It reminds me of another mockup online from a while back of a plane landiing on a freeway. The producer/team got nice jobs... :)

I'm not quite as impressed now that I know how they did it. (http://abcnews.go.com/Technology/wireStory?id=1875386) They rented and painted an actual 747. I had thought it was all CGI.
Seems it impressed the Air Force too . :)
After the video began circulating on the Web on Tuesday, the Air Force checked to see whether the plane had been vandalized.
