Sunrise?
« on: December 31, 2008, 03:39:27 PM »
On the Kennedy Tower feed, I just heard a reference to "sunrise" in relation to Runway 31L. This was mentioned at the same time as taxiway instructions using the standard alphanumerics. I'm just wondering what the Sunrise may have stood for.

TIA,

Iver

There is a "Sunrise" callsign that is listed in the FAA database.   According to the website it refers to a Canadian company called "AERO AVIATION CENTRE LTD."

A quick check of Flightaware.com didn't turn up anything but perhaps this company may be a charter company of some sort?  Either that or perhaps it is a local helicopter service.
