Streaming ATC on your phone...
« on: October 25, 2005, 01:11:49 PM »
I just got LiveATC set up on my phone. I can now go down to KSEA and listen to ATC with my phone! Very cool. A little delayed, but not bad.

This will do until I get a scanner of my own.

For those that are interested I have a Treo650 and am doing this with a trial version of PocketTunes that I installed. I am sure you could do it with other MP3 players you can download. I could not use the 8012 port URL, but instead had to use the generic one (http://www.liveatc.net/ksea).

Also, be advised that your carrier may charge you for data usage, I have an unlimited data plan for my Treo650 through Cingular right now, so it isn't a concern for me.

Anyway, if you have a phone like mine you should give it a try!
