Title: Split feeds (PIT)
Post by: PIT on July 10, 2006, 02:22:11 AM
I now see that most feeds are split up into seperate feeds. well i was thinking about doing that to the PIT feed. for those people that listen to the feed, would you like to see the feeds split or keep it as it is?

The feeds you see split happened because the funds came through for equipment etc. I think your underestimating what needs to be done along with money, time etc to just add a few more feeds. Would you use the same computer?

Yes, i have 2 more sound cards not being used. and a unused scanner. all i really need is a another antenna. but other than that i could do it tomorrow if i wanted. all of my feeds are runnign off of one computer and streamtranscoder lets me go up to 4 streams, so i can add one more.

If it was me, I'd split the Tower, Departure, and Arrival frequencies into 3 separate feeds. DJ

I listen to this feed all the time, being that im in Youngstown, and I think it would be a great idea to split the feeds up. Thanks for the feed too.

I listen to it fequently too...it's been very interesting lately with the All-star game in town.  I'm totally in favor of sliptting it up but I really think 2 feeds would suffice.  You could make it like the PHL setup, with one feed for Local, Gound and Clearance, and the other feed for App/Dept freqs.
