Title: Some feeds w/no sound ???
Post by: MIAMIATC on March 10, 2006, 09:12:36 AM
Yesterday I was trying to listen to the Prince Edward Island feed in Canada and all day there was no sound as well as I tried to listen to my favorite feed(CLT) and the same predicament happened. I did notice that there were other listeners listening according to the listener count that is posted. Any ideas of what is happening ??? My media player is WMP if that helps in any fashion

Try using the friewall link, may have been server issues.

Title: No sound PEI

I am the feeder for the PEI site.  I was at work all day when I got home in the evening to check the feed found my computer audio setting had changed somehow from line in to mic audio so reset to the proper setting for line in and all returned to normal.  Nice to hear that the PEI site is being listened to.  Not sure how that happened but should be back to normal now.

Hi, I just tried to open any feed and won't work, it says file not found. What can be the deal?

My guess is that the server is down for some upgrade or maintenance work I noticed the same here this morning.  Try a little later and expect it will be back to normal.

Sometimes it happens when [audio] hardware devices are plugged into the computer.  I've caught myself on more than one occasion noticing that Windows XP decided to take my recently plugged in USB webcam as the recording device instead of my pre-selected 'line-in' off my sound card.

A good idea is to check it as often as practical, but more often than not, checking it after you plug-in or un-plug hardware devices will catch most problems and can be quite beneficial.
