Hello,
I just registered and wanted to say hello. I just got into listening to a scanner. I primarily got the scanner to listen to aircraft communications. About a day later of buying a radio scanner I decided to get an outdoor antenna for it. I spent the day rigging up a bracket and a wood pole to nail up on my roof. So far I am getting a lot of chatter from my scanner.
I get the most when I am tuned onto frequency 128.575 which is the New York ARTCC. It's pretty fun.
My scanner is a Radioshack VHF/UHF/Aircraft Pro-2018, 200 channel desktop scanner. The antenna I got is for high VHF/UHF. Im still learning about all of this.
Here is my scanner.
And here is my antenna I rigged up. I couldn't pass up adding the "Danger" sticker. In fact, I ordered several other danger/electrical stickers and signs just to make it look more official!
Anyway, thanks for having me.
