Hopefully this week.
It is back! Thank you!!!
-
And gone for almost 5 days is this a temporary hickup? Thank you.
-
We're working on bringing it back up but there's been a receiver failure.
Donations to help defray the costs of getting a receiver back online would certainly help speed things up.

I am hoping to be able to donate this month or next. Can you estimate the cost to get this EINN center feed back up? Around 50 dollars usd?
-
But in the meantime I can hear some Oceanic Center transmissions on active EINN feed so that is nice.
-
Dave
How much is it going to cost to get Shannon (EINN) back up and running? Let me kmow I have the cash..
Thanks for a quick reply> Who is handling the EINN feed?
Thanks BigBossRadio

I'm in the process of programming the radio that will be placed into service again for Shannon Control coverage.
I believe our frequency list may be out of date due to the switch to 8.33 kHz channels.
Can someone help with an updated list? This was the last known good list:
Emergency/Guard 121.500
Shannon Clearance (Oceanic only) 121.700
Shannon Control 122.975
Shannon Control 124.175
Shannon Control 125.875
Shannon Control 127.125
Shannon Control 127.250
Shannon Control 130.975
Shannon Control 134.625
Shannon Control 135.625
Shannon Control 135.725
Shannon Control 136.250
Shannon Control (BABAN/DEVOL Sector) 132.150
Shannon Control (Cork Sector) 131.150
Shannon Control (Shannon Sector) 134.275
Shannon Control (Shannon/Sota Sector) 124.700
Shannon Control (SOTA Sector) 135.600
Shannon FIR (below FL075) 127.500
Shannon High Level (SOTA Sector) 135.225
Shanwick Radio 127.650
Shanwick Radio 135.525
Shanwick Radio (VHF) 127.900
Shanwick Radio Clearance 123.950
Track Information 133.800

I've been trying to track down a current list as well. Unfortunately the official documents, Irish AIP and IAA websites, only list a few of them, and they still seem to using a mix of 25 and 8.33 frequencies.
Some high altitude (FL250 and above) frequencies confirmed from recent monitoring.
25 KHz
131.150
132.150
135.600
8.33 KHz
122.980 (122.9750 MHz)
134.260 (134.2583 MHz)
135.230 (135.2250 MHz)
They are using more than these but I have not been able to confirm them. Unfortunately most frequency handoffs off the NAT tracks are assigned using CPDLC, same with handoffs within the Shannon airspace, so it makes it hard to track them all down.
As the low altitude sectors are covered well on other radio's is there any chance you could just include the high altitude frequencies on this one to help avoid congestion ?

This one is supposed to be focused only on high altitude frequencies...as soon as we can collate the "right" list for the feed, then the receiver can get shipped. We also have a couple of SDRs at the same location, but they are not in use because besides a failed radio, the only connection from the room where the antenna enters is WiFi....so in addition to the radio, a WiFi bridge with adequate power and antenna also needs to be sent...that is all ready. Just waiting on a good frequency list. :-)

This site may be of some use.

Most of the frequencies you use are ok.

Dave
Great to see progress being made looks like you are getting everything in order
Thanks
-
We expect to have this feed and perhaps some others some time this week, depending on the time available from the volunteer hosting our equipment.

Good to see my favorite feed coming back. I'd love a future update of CYYT coverage to bring similar center coverage on the other side of the Atlantic also if possible. I do plan to donate soon.
-
And we're back online!
Current frequency list updated.
We have the ability to put a couple more feeds up from this location...working on the optimal sets of frequencies. Suggestions welcome.
-
Dave,
Good to hear Shannon once more
-
dave,
Nice to have the feed back, thanks !
Current frequency list updated.

Just curious what reference you found for the frequencies ? And how close is the frequency list to what is actually on the radio ?
This one is supposed to be focused only on high altitude frequencies
I'm not complaining, great feed. Just an observation, I notice you appear to have the low frequency 124.70 on the radio (not listed) and 119.075 that is listed is also a low sector.
And FYI a couple of active high frequencies that are not on your list, 136.255 and 120.040 that I heard in use today. 136.255 in the same area as 134.260, might be a spare frequency or an ultra high sector ? 120.040 in the LIMRI area. There is also 127.130 that have heard in use in the past in the SOTA Sector that shows up on some lists as a backup frequency.
Any chance you or anyone can confirm what frequencies we are hearing the controllers on ? Sounds like 131.150 and 132.150 and maybe 135.600 too ?

Fantastic job Dave
Say a big thanks to all involved who helped with this important ATC Center
Ps I did send a donation

Hi Dave,
Great job getting this back up. Here are some frequencies I've overheard in the last couple of days:
120.040 Shannon,
124.700 Shannon,
123.950 Unknown.
Would HF frequencies be of any use?

Just found this website (to see all listings use scroll bar on left) ....
http://gis.icao.int/ff1/FindRegional_Country.php?back=Back®ion=EUR&FindCountry=IRL
Appears to have been updated in 2016 and from the frequencies I have heard in use looks accurate.
Shannon ACC
High Altitude
Frequency = sector/area, (status, if heard in use recently), coordinates listed
120.040 = U1+U2+U3+UEXT, (confirmed), N52 42 W008 55 (SNN airport)
122.980 = U4, (NOTA, confirmed, primary), N57 W15 (SUNOT waypoint)
125.875 = U4, (NOTA, confirmed), N52 42 W 006 20 (typo? - 100nm SW of SNN)
127.130 = U1+U2+U3+UEXT, (confirmed), SNN airport
129.665 = U1+U2+U3+U4+U5, (status?), SNN airport
131.150 = U3, (confirmed, primary), SNN airport
132.150 = U1+U2+U3, (confirmed, primary), SNN airport
133.360 = U1+U2+U3+U4+U5, (status?), SNN airport
134.260 = U1+U2+U3, (confirmed), SNN airport
134.630 = U1+U2+U3+UEXT, (status?), N54 W15 (DOGAL waypoint)
135.230 = U1+U2+U3+UEXT, (status?), SNN airport
135.600 = U1+U2+U3+UEXT, (SOTA, confirmed, primary), SNN airport
135.730 = U1+U2+U3+UEXT, (status?), N54 W15 (DOGAL waypoint)
135.985 = U1+U2+U3+U4+U5, (status?), SNN airport
136.255 = U1+U2+U3+UEXT, (confirmed, used as sub for 134.260), SNN airport
Low Altitude
118.975 = L1, (spare?), SNN airport
119.075 = L1+L4, (north, confirmed), SNN airport, - however transmitter can be heard on the EIKN LiveATC feed (72nm north of SNN)
124.700 = L4, (south, confirmed), SNN airport
127.500 = L1, (south, confirmed), SNN airport
129.300 = L4, (spare?), SNN airport
Other
124.175 = Oceanic (status?)
127.900 = Oceanic (status?)
131.825 = datalink ACARS
136.975 = datalink VDL
Trying to make sense of the "remarks" that appear to relate to sectors or areas, ie: "U4" corresponds with northern NOTA sectors and "U3" with 131.150 etc. Not sure what UEXT means ? Sector "U5" corresponds with 3 frequencies I've never heard used before ? Obviously the sector configuration and number of required frequencies varies quite a bit depending on traffic volume and location of the NAT tracks.
Still trying to confirm what transmitters are located in the Shannon area (that you are hearing the controller on), as far as I can tell it's only 131.150 and 132.150 high, and 124.700 low ? The coordinates given by the website don't seem to correspond to transmitter location as most are listed at the Shannon airport (clearly not the case) or some even co-located with navigation waypoints.
The Oceanic frequencies 124.175 and 127.900 were used in the past to assign HF frequencies and voice position reports at 15W, but this is now mostly done with CPDLC, although I have heard some HF frequencies being assigned by ATC on the regular frequencies. So not sure the status of these two anymore ?
Any additional information appreciated.

scubarrie,
123.950 Unknown.
123.950 = Shanwick Oceanic Clearance Delivery (only used now by aircraft without CPDLC).
I know they are rare these days but if any of you HF guys happen to be monitoring HF and hear an eastbound Shannon VHF frequency assignment to a non CPDLC aircraft, can you post it here to try and help figure out Shannon frequency usage.
ie: BEDRA eta 0630Z at FL360 to 135.600 Shannon
Thanks,
