I was doing pattern work at KBED on Saturday morning around 8:30 when three F18s in formation flew a low pass, broke off and landed. Cool sight! I saw one at the Hanscom air show a couple of years ago, but never while I've been flying!
A while later, I wanted to get in a full-flap go-around before I called it quits. I asked the controller for the option for a low approach. She came back on the mike laughing... said, "Why, do you want to try the breakaway maneuver, too?"
