I was thinking of starting a feed that would cover NY center 39 + others, but what do i do with the router? the router is in my brothers room and I don't want to move it? has anyone use a router with liveatc

You can feed from behind a router...router has no bearing on being able to feed.  You just need outbound access to TCP port 8010.
