Yeah i would assume the same thing. You should be ver y cautios about what you put out there. It may just cost you youre job.

Post by: goowe on September 25, 2008, 07:06:09 AM: I tried to search the internet for some more information... it's posted in a few places with different remarks: one person said the red bull pilot got in a lot of trouble and another said the tower supervisor ok'd it ahead of time. Wish I had more information :|

Post by: PIT on September 25, 2008, 10:48:38 AM: I also did some reasearching aswell. I find it a little odd that the camera just happens to be in the right place at the right time. Someone asks "Does he want another one?". There is a also couple other hints in there showing that it was pre-approved. Thats my opion anwyas.

You can hear the controller talking to him in the background. Those Red Bull pilots are crazy, not stupid.

Could have been on or around "Fleet Week" here in the San Francisco Bay Area which takes place in October.

Lots of familiar voices. I listen to these controllers daily. :-D

ATC has been known to use that phrase for an inbound emergency aircraft, regardless of what FAR part the aircraft is operating under (but that may be outside the scope of this thread...)
