Title: Recording of ATC Communications-Legality?
Post by: Brian2984749 on March 11, 2011, 10:40:22 PM
Hi, I am attempting to create a video of my flight lessons for a School project. I have scoured the internet receiving mixed answers, varying from its illegal to its totally fine. I come here today in hopes of clarifying this subject.
I am also curious if there are any flight cameras that can record communications during flight, I have heard of the NFlight camera and was wondering if that is a good camera, or if you have any other recommendations.

Thanks so much,
Brian

Brian, where are you located? Laws regarding recording ATC vary from country to country.

A GoPro HD Hero camera is made for this type of application.  I checked them out on the web and they are very nice.  A friend used one with outstanding results.  I have no idea of the cost.
