Title: Recording a local ATC freq with the Pi computer

Here's my questions.

1) I want to use the Pi computer and not have to manually connect a scanner audio jack, but rather a USB module receiver. Is the one available ?

2) Is there a way to save the live audio to a large SD card (loop when out of space/record over) on the Pi computer and possibly feed to LiveATC ?

3) Anyone used a portable drive for storage and programs if not using SD card(even though SD cards are now up 256gb) ?

4) Pi now has the Pi3 with wifi this should be an advantage, correct ?

Some thoughts for you:

1) Yes. You can use an RTLSDR DVB-T dongle as the receiver. Contact us privately to set up a feed and get the relevant details.
2) Yes. But this is best done on a separate USB drive, not on the primary SD card.
3) No...SD card is more convenient.
4) No reason not to use a Pi3...but the WiFi, while convenient in many cases, uses a tiny antenna that will be mounted inside a case. It will not produce the best coverage results...plus streaming over WiFi will work but will be less reliable than a wired connection.
