Alright guys, I was wondering if you could give me the low down on "PRO-2051 1000-Channel Triple-Trunking Desktop Scanner". If you know any information about this scanner please make a quick post. I was wondering if its worth the money.
Thanks alot :D

I just received a Uniden Bearcat BC-T8 scanner, which is probably going to replace my Bearcat XLT 855. I also have my portable BC 246.

The poster asked a completely unrelated question. :-)
The Pro-2051 seems like a great scanner, especially at the clearance price. I played with one on a limited basis and was generally pleased.
A couple downsides to this scanner:
- no PC control
- no military airband.
For the same price check out the Pro-2052. Good value for the money.

I apologize lol. I shall read prior to posting next time.

I used to work at RS, give it another month it will drop another $25 - $50, and keep going down till there completely gone. RS scanners are usually very good, reliable scanners.

Check on ebay. Eventually everything shows up there.

The recent Radioshack (PRO-92,93,95, 2053, 2067 etc) scanners can recieve UHF airband by using software programing and cable.
www.starrsoft.com has some of the most popular software. The software for the 92,93,95, 2053, 2067 is freeware. The rest have 15 day trials.
One thing to keep in mind, there is a lower sensitivity on newer GRE made radioshacks that need software to recieve UHF airband than the Uniden bearcats with UHF airband out of the box. I get decent results on UHF airband with the PRO-95, although I'm using the 785D now for the feed.
