Title: question regarding the feed VHHH Tower/Radar
Post by: lawson1941 on July 05, 2013, 11:21:05 AM
It has been a pity that the abovementioned feed is no longer receiving ATC signal from extended range.

A few years ago, when I start listening regularly to VHHH Radar/Tower feed, signals from aircraft entering Hong Kong airspace from adjacent ATC zones could clearly be heard, along with occassional takeoff and landing clearance.  Aircrafts passing ELATO, getting into Manila, Guangzhou, Zanjiang and Guangzhou control area, crusing at FL over 300, and crusing in Mach .85 could always be heard!

After a suspension of service two or three years ago, all this changed.  Radio transmissions nowadayz indicates aircrafts flying at 15000 feet, at the speed of 250 Knots - nMach number, FL 380 and contact adjacent airspace has no longer been heard ever since.

It appears that the signal provider is encountering the technical problem which i nit cannot be easily solved.

What can i do to help????

I would love to help though, i possess no equipment for this.  In addition, i have no idea where to buy appropriate receiver locally and i am not quite sure if the place where i live facilitates the reception of the signal.  The ISP provide quite a stable infrastructural basis though.
