Monitoring from the UK
« on: January 31, 2008, 07:48:02 PM »
I read about this incident in a magazine,so I looked it up in the net and found it.

Apparently all of this was recorded by an airband enthusiast, and was e-maied to the BBC.

Quoteing the magazine-----This has angered both the RAF and BAe Systems and may in time have some consequences for the monitoring hobby.--------

Then let them encrypt the communications.  Plain and simple.  It's the only way to guarantee that people will not listen in.

Unencrypted transmissions are fair game for monitoring, regardless of the antiquated law they have on the books, which is completely ludicrous in this day and age.
