This is for the administrator, I'd like to know how you are advanced from "newbie" to the next levels.

We may change these in the future to get a bit more creative, but haven't had the time yet.

Best,

Here is a set I came up with a few years ago and it's in use on a forum I deal with: You could always change CTI to Off The Street Hire now.

Rank                                          Stars                  Posts Required
CTI Student                                        *                                      0
OKC Student                                     **                                    50
A-Side Controller                             ***                                   100
D-Side Controller                            ****                                  200
R-Side Controller                           *****                                 500
Certified Professional Controller       ******                             1000

Thanks, Ed.  The only concern I have is that people may mistake individuals on these forums for those in positions they do not hold.  Since there are a lot of controllers on here still, it would be frustrating to have a "CTI Student" rank when you're actually a CPC.  We'll put some thought into it soon.

While Ed's idea is certainly creative, I agree with Jason that there may be too much confusion over these "participation" titles, since many real world controllers do participate here.   Of the many web-based boards in which I have participated over the last several years, these participation ranking systems always seems to raise a lot of concern and question.

And hence we just stick with the defaults.  They're silly labels - maybe it makes sense to not have them at all.  But, on the other hand, it does recognize (albeit in a not very meaningful way) those who participate.  Someone who posts a zillion "me too" postings ends up being equivalent to someone who constantly posts really good stuff with substance.

Just participate and make meaningful, helpful posts on the forums...and don't worry about the silly label.  It won't get you anything anyway.  :-)
