Hi everyone,
I just wish to aplogize for the awful noise that has been comming through on the YBBN feed. I don't know exactly what the problem is. When i have the outdoor antenna connected and the cord for the line in to the computer connected there is a buzzing noise that is constant. This doesn't happen when i have the normal antenna connected, and when i dont have the scanner connected to the line in of the computer there is no buzzing noise even with the outdoor antenna connected.
Can someone please help me :?:
Cheers,
Michael

It sounds like a ground-loop issue. Make sure the scanner, computer, and the coax shield are at the same ground potential. You may have to connect all of them together with some ground wire or clip leads.

Except for the scanner power cord, make sure all the grounds are connected together. The case of the PC to the case of the scanner mainly. Alligator clips are one way to do this.
