Posting Interesting Traffic
« on: March 11, 2018, 08:30:17 PM »
Is there a site or a forum where people can post active and interesting conversations on aero bands?
A place where people watch and monitor for interesting traffic to monitor?

Thanks,
Bryan

i think he's talking about channels that are interesting right now.

i'd say we should have a sticky thread right in this forum i'll be sure to post when i feel sth i listen to is interesting.

this is a good page to monitor if you are looking for snow, fog or other weather phenomena :)

except a few airports which are congested as soon as there is a bit of wind or the ceilings are not above 3000 for visual approaches.

(i guess you could also look at this https://de.flightaware.com/miserymap/ )

I have been listening to air band since 1986. I have pretty good coverage and can hear ZNY, Boston and DC ARTCC's from here. Last night I heard a pretty interesting phone patch for a Jet Blue that had to turn back. Just wondering if there is an area that can be posted to--and would be monitored in real time in case others want to get in on the action - so to speak. I generally keep the air scanner on here for background noise while working digital ham modes in the shack...

strong winds and go-arounds at CYYZ right now. (https://www.liveatc.net/search/?icao=yyz) the time now is 1906Z

i'll just post in this thread from time to time.

w3wor also you might want to define what is interesting :)

adding a UTC time for someone who likes to listen to archives might also be a good idea.
