Title: please advice on scanner purchase, thanks!
Post by: dave92270 on May 06, 2007, 03:51:31 PM
Hello,

I'm considering  to get a scanner; I'm primarily interested in commercial/civilian air traffic since I live very close to KPSP airport and right on the approach lines, watching the landing and departing aircraft all the time; but also would like to hear other bands. I checked out topics around this site and also radio-scanner-guide.com, but since i don't know much about scanners I can't decide. At amazon (where I plan to buy) I found  BCT8,  BC898T and BCT15; what would be a good choice? I want most features (even if I'll not use them right now, good to have them for later), and price under $250 or so.

Please excuse if this has been asked many times; I want to order it today so I can get it early next week and start playing with it as soon as possible. I'm currently listening the KPSP traffic through the LiveATC.net, it's great! Just found it yesterday and figured that I should definitely get a scanner...

Thanks for help!
Dave
