On LiveATC.net’s pictures section Dave has pics of the antenna he built.  It is 800 some feet long.  Does anyone have a parts list for building such an antenna?

That antenna is for low frequency reception (1-10 MHz).  It is used to pick up the Atlantic NAT Tracks.
