Title: Oshkosh feed
Post by: dave on July 23, 2007, 02:05:45 PM
We are working hard to get some sort of Oshkosh feed up for the week...please be patient.  No more cards and letters needed.  :-)

Dave, again if you need equipment or funds to facilitate this year's feed or, at this point, next year's feed please don't hesitate to ask.

IMO this is one of the most important feeds that could be hosted by LiveATC.net.

Thanks...still trying to contact the original feeder...that is probably our best chance of having the feed for the week.  Transient visitors, unless they are exhibitors, will likely have a difficult time feeding.

Does anyone know if the WiFi on the field is free to attendees?

It is this year, mainly at the campgrounds.  Here's a map of the WiFi hotspots:

Original feeder is unable to provide the feed due to equipment issues.

Does he live in the area?  In other words, will he be around next year?   If so, we could set him up so equipment would not be an issue.

He lives right in Oshkosh - we'll plan a bit better next year.

Ok, Dave, I will mark my calendar for six weeks prior to OSH 08 as a reminder to get in touch with you to start this process.

Let him know that if equipment and cost of maintaining a feed are really the only impediments to getting a feed next year, the community here (or at least me) will be happy to step up and assist.

EDIT:  Hey, maybe you and I could fly out in one of the Bonanzas ahead of time to assist.   :)

I am here at Oshkosh, and I thought about providing a feed while I am away from Phoenix, but the place that I am staying at does not have wifi. Maybe next year though.
