Title: Optimizing Windows Media Player

Can anyone tell me specificlly what settings you are using for Media Player? I don't know what's up, but I can't seem to keep my WMP going for more than about 30 seconds before it stops playing and displays that damn "READY" button. Does it have something to do with buffering or waht? For all of you that do not have this problem, I'd appreciate knowing what your settings are?

Better yet, is there a better media player other than Windows Media Player that is more stable?

I'm having the same problem but with winamp. It plays for about 30 seconds, and then just cuts out. This is happening with all the feeds I have tried so far.

Thanks Kalpazan, but I already looked at that thread.  :roll: It didn't really have what I was looking for, other than to try a different player. I was mostly interested to see if other LiveATC members had found some settings that are optimized for listening to ATC.

Have you tried to enable the "Repeat" option in Windows Media Player ? I beleive that will help.  :roll:

Repeat will only replay what's already been listened to, not reconnect.

Here, it reconnects to the feed. Does not reply what has been already lsitened to.

Yeah I don't know. I tried repeat, but at some point it disconnected, then kept repeating . I wasn't really paying attention until I realized this one pilot had asked for clearance to land about a dozen times.  :mrgreen:
