OMDB Dubai some feeds silent and overlapping
« on: July 25, 2016, 04:19:09 UTC »
The North Departure feed I have not heard anything from. The Ground Secondary I hear a lot of loud static but it seems like departure traffic is being picked up, not any ground. The North Dep could be changed to 121.025 that is the main departure frequency which would be nice to have if possible. Thank you.

When DXB is using the 12 runways I hear transmissions in the North Departure feed. But nothing when using the 30 runways

If you could add 121.025 to the North Dep this will pickup departure frequencies

And if possible to add a ground feed or add this to an existing ground feed, 121.65 for the north and west ramp.

That would give great coverage for ground traffic, arrivals and departures. Thank you for having this feed setup for DXB.

I've heard 126.20 as a departure frequency now when using the 12 runways.

118.60 may be another arrival. 127.90 I believe is another arrival frequency, final when using the 12s.

Thanks...we are working on improving reception and capacity there...may take a while but the reception challenges there are significant.

Thanks. Even if for the tower and arrival/dep feeds, hearing only aircraft or only tower would be okay. Better than nothing. Same with ground too. I am sure it is difficult to get good reception. So many tall buildings and a large airport. All 3 ground frequencies would be okay to get good reception for the tower first before trying to pick up all the areas on ground, including clearance delivery. And if the new ground could be added that would be great, 121.650. And adding 121.025 to North Dep feed. This would get good almost complete coverage. I will try and listen in more to figure out when other frequencies are used like 118.60 and 127.90 which may both be final approach frequencies.

Really appreciate this feed there are so many great aircraft flying in and out of this airport.
