Help for people listening to MWARA SEA-2 8942 feed
« on: May 22, 2010, 04:33:22 PM »
Hello all,

A friend of mine provides this great HF feed for us from the Philippines and Dave kindly 'hosts' it for us via this site.  I spend a lot of time listening to this feed when I can and there's quite a lot of interesting traffic to be heard.

In case you find that there's little happening when you 'tune in', here's a rough guide to the busier periods :

2230z-0200z (picks up a lot of the morning traffic out of SIN and KUL to China, Hong Kong, Manila and Japan).
0430z-0900z
1200z-1530z
1630z-1800z (ish)

Singapore and Manila are the only 2 stations you'll ever hear :

SIN stength -
2200z-0230z fair
0230z-0630z very weak
0630z-2200z strong, but SIN oftens drops down to 5655 as primary around 1830z (not always)

MNL strength -
2200z-1100z fair-strong for the most part
1100z-1700z weak-fair and MNL often drops down to 5655 as primary between these times (not always)
1700z-2200z very weak
