AA diversion this morning

AA flight 136 LAX to heathrow was diverted to JFK after suspicious passenger. Landed at JFK approx 2:30 AM ET, 7/12.  havent listened to any audio yet.

JFK CAMRN (correction ROBER) arrival 0600Z 12Jul07 13th minute they talk about a fuel dump.

crap. Didn't see the thread here, and posted in the other one! I'll paste what I said there.


It's a non-issue now. Turns out that it was an employee who was travelling in a private capacity, and a FA didn't know anything about it, and panicked, so the pilots diverted.

What makes this worse is that because of the diversion, they (the crew) exhausted all of their flight / service time and had to take their mandatory 8 - 12 hour break. Flight was cancelled in NYC.
