NORTH ATLANTIC TRAFFIC 1985

Hi all,

Please find attached a short clip of ATC audio dating back to summer 1985. The traffic are all heading out over Northern Ireland and Southern Scotland on their oceanic crossings.

Apologies for the poor recording quality (pre digital!!) but its still nice to hear some of those old callsigns not to mention a CSA Il62!

Hope you enjoy. I'll try add what details I have of the flights shortly.

PS Aircraft are using Scottish Control 135.85 and Shannon Control 135.6

Man was that awesome! I love hearing "Clipper". "TWA", "Wardair"...I never get tired of the old callsigns!

Interesting to see that some carriers are still using the flight numbers 25 years later :)

Love the nostalgic callsigns!
I can get Scottish ACC from here in the midlands. I'd stream them, but you know.. Silly law.
