New-York area: thunderstorms, lightning, heavy rain...?
« on: July 27, 2008, 05:11:19 AM »
Hi,

I have this question - probably best for you US-guys:

I am seeking an interesting weather-situation for the New-York area (KJFK) with thunderstorms, lightning, heavy rain etc...during the last 30 days (so that I can listen to the according pre-recorded ATC-feed on www.liveatc.net).

Do you know if there was such a weather configuration in this area the last month which is worth to listen to...If so could you just give me the date (time?)?

:-)

Thanks very much!

Most recent that I can think of is July 23rd at around 10:30pm local time, which translates to July 24th, 0230z.

A strong t-storm cell moved into the New York area and significantly slowed operations at JFK.
