Datainmotion, any chance you'd post some more specifics about your PCR-100 setup? I'd love to set up a system where I could add/drop/reconfigure freqs on the fly remotely, as my feed is in a remote location. I've had my eye on going with either some PCR-100/1000 units or FunCubeDongles. Are you running a Linux feed or other? Maybe you could start a thread in Feed Setup Pics? Thanks!
Thanks for your interest. While it's nothing special, I'd be happy to share the details:
Icom PCR-100 - Good receiver (IMHO) that you can find cheap these days, if you keep your eyes open. I have bought three from the same seller on Craigslist for $90 ea.
Trunk PCR control software - I use Trunk PCR rather than Talk PCR (both free - google them) because Trunk PCR can run multiple clients side-by-side easily. This software allows maximum control over all facets of the receiver, including editing channels without disturbing the scan "flow"..
Antenna - Homebuilt center-fed dipole cut for 127 MHz. I used 3/4" copper tube connected via a 300 ohm - 75ohm balun to the feedline which is RG-6 coax. The antenna is mounted 28' above ground level on my chimney and has a clear view of Denver International Airport, 13 miles away.
Computer - No name PC running XP SP3 utilizing the onboard audio and three USB audio adapters ($1 e-bay specials)
