NEW DCA FEED(124.7/119.85)
« on: February 07, 2014, 11:23:14 AM »
From what I am listening to right now it seems that there is a controller that can be heard on the feed all the time, but very very little of Pilot comms. coming through. Looks like 119.85 is actually not on the feed at all since the controller that is heard is handing off to tower. Not getting and handoffs heard from 119.85 to 124.7 at all. Also sounds like there are dead spots as well in recieveing.

Lastly it looks like a DCA feed bank is being implemented.

Just a suggestion that APP Contain 119.85 which is handles from all directions inbound to DCA along with Final 124.7
and DEP contain 118.95/121.05/and 125.65

Again Controller is heard all the time however Pilot traffic is maybe heard 20 percent of the time.

That is one of our feeds.  No ability for rooftop antenna at that location so some directions are blocked.  It is what it is.  :-)   We should enjoy what we have.

A subpar product in my opinion.

A "product" is generally something that has advertised or expected qualities and carries a price tag, whereas a "gift" is something of unanticipated qualities that one receives for free.
