Title: National Mosaic ATC-weather service: Certain date/time?
Post by: Susan27 on July 28, 2008, 02:05:21 PM
Hi,

when choosing a pre-recorded ATC-feed on http://www.liveatc.net/archive.php the nice radar-weather map (rain-showers etc.) of the appropriate vicinity of the apt is been shown for the chosen time.

I learned that these infos come directly from the National Mosaic weather service - http://radar.weather.gov/ridge/Conus/full_lite_loop.php.

My question: Is it somehow possible to see the weather situation for a certain - predefined - date & time by going directly to this URL?

I tried that over and over again but wasnt successful at all: If I go directly on this URL I dont see a window or so. to enter a certain date & time in order to see the weather (specialy rain etc.) for that very time...

So, isnt that availabe on this site? If so, how is the appropriate weather situation of an airport then been taken from this URL & displayed when  going over the liveatc.net URL I mentioned above...?

Thanks very much in advance! :)

Susan,

Try this link.  It's not exactly what you are looking for, but it should be helpful.

Thanks for the link, w0x0f! :-)

though its not so detailed as th other one it is def. usuable...But neverthess, I still wonder how the guys doing this URL (liveatc.net) are succesful to display the  weather site of the National Mosaic weather service (ww.radar.weather.gov) for a special day/time in the past...(?)
