« on: January 13, 2014, 10:06:04 PM »
How far does this sector extend eastbound before being switched to Moncton or HF ?    Because it is a remote high level ( 29'ooo ' + ) I can hear the aircraft almost to Quebec City.

Cheers from Kingston !

It extends to about 130 miles northeast of Quebec City. If you look on the Skyvector World Hi chart the border with Moncton is not marked, but it extends in a north/south direction through the waypoints ANCER, BAREE, CEFOU, to the Boston Center bounday to the south. (CEFOU for some reason isn't labeled on the chart, but it's the waypoint about 25 miles east of Riviere-du-Loup).

The handoff is to Moncton on VHF, at that point you are still 3 sectors away before you get to Gander on HF.

Deja Vu ....
