Looking for info: CYWK (Wabush / Labrador City) area
« on: July 27, 2019, 02:44:38 PM »
I'm wondering if anyone is familiar with this area high-level radio traffic & airport particulars. I may be able to get a LiveATC site up in this area soon, but I have no knowledge of the frequencies used other than info gleaned from the Canadian Airports Chart and from the Spectrum Management System of ISED.

There are two frequencies in particular that look like they should be included in the lineup, but I would like to verify that before I send the equipment there...
(1) 119.700 licensed to Nav Canada {possible Montreal Low-Level controllers}?
(2) 134.000 licensed to Nav Canada {possible Montreal High-Level controllers}?

Any information as to the actual use of these frequencies would be greatly appreciated.

134.000 is confirmed as a Gander Center high altitude frequency (FL290 and above), it's often combined with the high frequencies that can be heard on the Goose Bay feed. 119.700 is listed as a Gander high altitude frequency as well but I have not heard it in use, maybe used as a spare ? There is also 132.250 at Wabush, this is a Montreal Center low altitude frequency (FL280 and below).

A feed covering these frequencies would be great !

Thanks JS1...that is just the info I was looking for. Mind if I PM you with a proposed lineup? I don't want to clog the forum with 'speculative' posts...
thanks
