Title: Looking for clip: KSEA DLH459 6/27 23:13 - 23:31, ill flight crew diversion
Post by: maokh on June 28, 2013, 02:06:29 PM
Flight crew all became ill, and they made a couple of diversion decisions until ultimately landing in Seattle.  I watched them perform this turn on approach into KSEA in person.  Never seen this before, especially at the milton intersection, so I am curious what happened exactly.

From my ADS-B receiver:

Scale of that turn is about 3 miles in diameter.

They had to bleed off airspeed after the rapid descent, and what better way than to execute a tight 360?
