London ATC Stream
« on: July 06, 2010, 08:44:06 AM »
Hi all. I was wandering the web the other day and came across a stream of ATC audio from the London area. It's mostly high-level stuff, highest I've heard is FL410 and lowest I think was FL250.

Some interesting traffic nonetheless, and worth a listen.

I'm not going to post the link publicly for obvious reasons, so if you'd like it PM me. I will not provide the link to any members with no or only one post to try and protect the streamer!

Sorry, to protect the feeder I won't provide the link to new registrations! Hope you understand why!
(To be fair, a bit of googling will turn it up...)

Is it just a random mixture of sectors, or is there some logic to the feed? Whats the sound quality like?

Casper87, it was one frequency and I'm not sure what that was but it seemed to cover (according to matching callsigns to radar virtuel) the Midlands, around the Manchester area - specifically high level stuff from about FL200 to FL410.
Unfortunately it has now gone down - yet another victim of our stupid archaic laws.

Please visit http://yourfreedom.hmg.gov.uk/repealing-unnecessary-laws/air-traffic-radio-listening-rebroadcast and comment/signup. Together perhaps we can make a difference.

To Yachydda (who posted on the want to hear UK atc thread), it was his stream I had been avidly listening to for the last week or so and encouraging others to listen to. Many thanks.

Kind Regards.

Edit - Sound quality was better than ANY feed I'd ever heard before. No interference, no readability issues  -Crystal clear all the way.

Fairplay. Thats a shame another one bites the dust, but at least that website suggests there may be change afoot.
