Does anyone have a solution for listening to LiveATC on a Blackberry? This was posted in the forums a while back but I haven't found a solution that works...
Thanks.

I've actually been toying around with this the past week. I have a BB 8310 (Curve) and have yet to find an application that will stream mp3s online.

Hi, good afternoon,
I have been listening for some time to the LiveATC streams on my Windows mobile device with a
programm called Resco Radio. I don't know if this works on a Blackberry, but you may want to
give it a try: http://www.resco.net/pocketpc/radio/
Hope this helps,
René.

I have a good friend at RIM who checked in with some developers there. Apparently there are third-party MP3 player applications but:
1) They don't play Icecast streams.
2) They all go through the cellular carriers who want to extract $$$ for each MP3 played. They are focused on music.
So from what I can see you're out of luck if you're on a Blackberry.

The iPhone can play recorded (archived) streams - can't do streaming yet. Hopefully there will be player support once they open it up for applications this year.

The freeware program "TCPMP" can play M3Us on my blackjack. Don't know if it would work on a blackberry, though.
BTW, the streams are now M3U, which is an mp3 playlist. It is just a link to the source and port, so don't worry about storage space on your device.
