College Station, San Antonio, Randolph AFB
« on: November 05, 2009, 09:21:49 AM »
North American P-51 Mustang "Gunfighter", N5428V, is departing Memphis this morning for Randolph.  He will be joined by 2 F-16's from the Texas ANG, "The Lonestar Gunfighters" at CLL around 1540z and escorted into Randolph.  Might be some interesting listening.

Been listening to the KCLL feed (which is up) for over an hour and haven't heard anything.  I think something is broken.

Even though we didn't get to hear anything while it was happening, we did get some pictures and video of it:

I live down the street from randolph. Planes were turning over my apartment. :)

For future google-y reference, the airboss was on 123.3. I have 2 more discreet frequencies at home, as well as the F22 Demo's safety frequency. Will post later.

P.s. Hi. First post. I sent a email earlier volunteering to feed the KSAT tower frequency to the site.

P.p.s. while I didn't go to the airshow, I did get pictures from my work on KSAT and from my balcony of over-flying planes. They can be viewed here.
