Does anyone have a LiveATC app for the HTC with Windows mobile like the iPhone one?
Sure would be good for all the HTC owners out there!
Thanks

hey there, i was trying yesterday from m.liveatc.net on an HTC diamond
and i can either hit open or save on a feed.
open does nothing, save actually saves the feed
try saving it to your memory card or something.
all it does is stream the feed to a file
if you open that file you can listen to the piece of the feed that has been already
recorded. i tried a few times but nearly always after a little bit (probably when it tries to read and write at the same time) the phone freezes.
on an iphone the feed is handled by quicktime, i tried opening url from windows media player on win mobile but it won't work.. if anyone else knows how to do this let us know ! :D

Hi,
Try opening on the Media Player the feed but in the alt.liveatc.net/KJFK_TWR (or WHICH EVER feed you want) format.
I got it working like that on a Nokia E71 via the Internet Radio application. The m.live.... format never worked for me.
Let us know how you do.
Santiago.

for the nokia guy: don't use capital letters, put the url all in lower case and it should work.
for coolsan: windows media player on the htc, as the one on windows XP/7/vista itself, won't play that stream from "open url"
not even vlc will play it actually... not sure why.

Has anyone figured out how to get this to work via 3G?
I have a HTC HD2 and would love to be able to listen to LiveATC via 3G

Hi, good evening,
Download Resco pocket radio, this will work via 3G networks. I have been
using it on several HTC phones, including the HTC Cruise, HD, HD2 and Snap.
Here is the link : http://www.resco.net/pocketpc/radio/
Hope this helps,
René.

Skyfire works great thanks :-D
It kind of a pain to scroll through all the feeds. My suggestion is to put your most listened to feeds in the favorites menu.

I will try to explain it with a few screenshots from my HTC HD2.
1.Go to the HF feed page in your browser on your HTC http://www.liveatc.net/feedindex.php?type=hf
screenshot:

2. Click the WinAp media player button on your feed, you will get this screen:
3. Save the file anywhere on your HTC, doesn't really matter in which folder.
4. Open the Resco radio player, screenshot:

5. Click All stations and then new, and then import:

6. You will see this screen and then click the "blader" button, and you will find the .m3u file of your feed.

Hope this helps,

I have an HTC Tilt 2 and have been looking for a way to listen on it. I finally found it.
There is a free mobile browser call 'SkyFire' which supports Flash 10. I don't know how it works, but like the website says, it just works.
Install the app, go to LiveATC.net, select the airport and click the link for the feed that 'requires flash'. I use it all the time.
The browser isn't really too friendly as Opera, but it does everything. I even listen to Sirius online like I would my deskptop computer.

Instructions are OK but the server name should always be d.liveatc.net, not anything else that may show up. If you use any other server names, they are not guaranteed to continue working.
