Hello All,
I've chatted a bit with the site admin about streaming, and I am just wondering if anyone has this magic forumla.
Using a linux machine (CentOS) in my case. What is the config to get the audio to stream out as they do for most of the ATC feeds?
In a perfect world, I would like to use an RTL-SDR (Have a bucket of the things!) to pick up the stream, encode it as MP3, and serve it out as RTSP... As is done for most of the listening stations here.
I have NEVER been able to get this working, and have torn my hair out for weeks trying to figure it out.
Is there a secret sauce for this? In the end I want to set up at least two receivers for my area, but I would also like to have the same functionality for something completely independant. (Remotely located receiver, to stream back to multiple listening stations)
I know LiveATC can do this config for me if I send them the access to the machine (And they have done this for me in the past)...
BUT
1) It takes a long time to get a reply.
But more importantly...
2) I would like to know how to do this myself. It can be handy for me down the road.
