anybody else listening experiences feed fading in and out today ?

I've been having problems with it recently...can't put my finger on it.  For one, there's something wrong with the scanner.  When it's listening to a frequency, it will "skip" like on a CD every few seconds...didn't used to do that.  Could it be cause it's getting old and I've had in on for hours and hours?  

Also it's been scratchy since I got back from IND on Sunday.  I'll unhook and rehook everything and restart the feed, hopefully fixing that.  If anyone can help with the problem with the actually scanner, let me know if you have any ideas.

i have had ic chips in previous scanners burn out that have caused that problem other than that i would have no idea

I think I fixed the scratching by adjusting the cord for the A/C adapter.  When you referred to the IC chip, was that as a solution to the skipping?  If so, would you figure that'd be available somewhere like Radio shack and if so how much would you estimate it'd cost?  Thanks,

Usually when ICs burn out, they burn out for good.  They seldom degrade.
