Title: KTVC Feed... Lots of Intl Traffic
Post by: maiznblu_757 on February 18, 2005, 11:55:42 PM
Kind of a plug for the feed

Just wanted to let you all know that in the afternoons and evenings, you can hear lots of Intl traffic flying from Japan to Detroit and Europe to O'Hare, Dallas,Houston, and Mexico City.

The TVC traffic will steadily increase as the warmer weather approaches too.

Reception should get better once the snow banks shrink.

You probably get a lot of high altitude contrails visible on a good day, eh?  I am over here in Green Bay - pretty much straight across the big lake from you and we get MSP-bound traffic over us all the time.  And I have also seen northbound traffic,  which since there is no major cities north of here is probably traffic headed toward a Polar route to Asia.

One time I saw a contrail of a B-52!

Hopefully it'll increase in spring.

Well they have lots of contrails over Traverse City.  I am originally from there, in San Diego now.
