Title: KSUU Trouble
Post by: Fryy/Avocadoflight on November 21, 2007, 05:19:28 AM
Figures the first day the feed gets put up on the site I run into problems. All day there seems to be a bunch of static when the controllers talk, aircraft come in fine. That wasn't happening before when I tested the stream. Any ideas on how to fix the interference? Im planning on hooking up a UHF scanner by the end of the week and mounting the antenna just a bit higher so hopefully that helps.

Try turning the scanner volume down a little. I had a similar problem with the audio over driving causing static / buzzing.

I disconnected the scanner from the computer and shut the computer down to see if the interference was coming from the pc, but still no luck. I have the scanner turned down pretty low, so I know it doesnt have anything to do with the scanner volume. Im assume its outside interference. Ground/Tower controllers come in clear, aswell as south App(119.9), but theres tons of static on 126.6. They make filters for these kind of things right?

Yes they do make filters. Check this thread out here...
