Sacramento (KSMF) seems choppy as its dropping out mid-sentence for long periods.
I noticed the choppy sound during an emergency this morning.

Listening to the livefeed, it drops out in the same choppy manner.

Should be a little better now...our receiver location there occasionally has reception issues.

It sounds like NORCAL approach controller part of the feed is noisy too.
I love listening on LiveATC, remembering the good old days. Thanks for everything.

During that emergency they switched to Norcal Approach on 125.4. Is that frequency monitored?

Should it be, if not?
Thanks for LiveATC!

If I recall correctly we can't hear the controller side of 125.400 from our remote controlled station near KSMF, but we'll check.

Dave, if you can't get 125.4 from the SMF feed, you may want to see if you can pick it up form the KMHR feed. When out at KMHR, due to its proximity to the TRACON, I can pick up every NCT frequency in the Sacramento area, parts of KSUU, and up to Oroville (KOVE). 125.4 serves that part of it, so that may be a better location to pick up that frequency.

125.25 is also a very active frequency for arrivals into KSAC and KSMF
