I notice that the KSFO feed channels include tower on the left and varies between clearance on the right and at other times ground on the right.

Is this variation a function at the airport itself, or on the scanner and feed?

I wonder which listeners prefer? clearance or ground?

This is a function of the feed currently, but a new feed system is in testing that will break each of the channels out separately.  At present we're doing it with a split feed in order to maximize coverage, and minimize interruptions.

Thanks for the SFO feed!  It has become one of my favorites after my home airport, SEA.  The audio quality is excellent.  The only downside is listening makes me want to be at the airport even more!

It varies from airport to airport, but in the case of SFO I would prefer clearance.

I'd prefer Ground especially because there is way more activity on the GND freq. Plus I know alot of airlines there are getting clearance automatically instead of requesting it over the radio.
