Title: KSEA DAL 1268 go around - aborted at about 1000 feet - reason?

Delta 1268 - SLC to SEA - 7/8/2019
I was on this flight tonight, and I'm trying to figure out what the reason was for the failed 1st attempt.
all we got out of the cockpit was a technical issue.

All i've been able to find on the recordings is at the 20 second mark here:

"Delta 1268 we're going around we have a flight"

???

You should have looked at the next half hour section of the archive.

"We have a flight control malfunction."

Most likely flaps not extending properly.
There are often alternate flap extension protocols.

Otherwise aircraft land faster if the flaps don't work.
In any case there are checklists that need to be run.

In this case doesn't seem the landing speed was too much out of the ordinary.
Might be they landed with a little less flaps than normal and a little bit faster.

Nothing to worry about.
