Any plans to get KSCH back? I would like to see this one active... let me know if there is something I can do to help.
I live about 4mi north and can get good airborne signals, but not very good signal from tower.

I twice attempted to contact the person who set this up with me, to no avail. He's MIA.

If you are willing to mount an outdoor antenna to the side of your house you will probably pick up everything crystal clear, including the ground traffic.
I thought that being 14 miles and a couple of hills from the Syracuse airport would prevent me from getting a good signal and it did, when using the standard-issue indoor antenna. So, I picked up an outdoor antenna and some good quality coax cable and it worked better than I expected.

Thanks for the tip, I'll look into getting an antenna. I don't want something too big and obtrusive on the outside of my house, but I'll look into it. I would prefer something like the winradio antenna shown in the link below that can be mounted indoors. I will inform the moderator if I come up with something.

Sounds good Steve...that planar antenna is neat but it covers 230 to 1600 MHz. Doesn't cover VHF airband.
You wouldn't need much of an antenna...an inconspicuous wire j-pole tacked to the wall outside might do just fine.
