That is correct. The scanner is scanning 119.75 (gn - not as clear), 132.55 (gs), and 124.10 (quartz/south arrival). I experimented a few days ago, and to my surprise, the transmitters were suddenly much more powerful than before. Lets hope it stays this way  :-) Maybe LH or someone can shed some light on this?

I'm 6.4 nm from PXR...so probably about 8 and a half or so from the transmitters.

Very cool, it seems like I was picking up local transmissions the other night too!  I am a Phoenix native who works as a DoD controller out in Camp Pen, CA.  Just found out the FAA is considering me for a position in the Phoenix TRACON.  Can't say how much an early start to listening and picking up some things is appreciated.  LH, I read you are a veteran P50 controller, I count it a special privelage to be graced with your experience, and if you come accross this, if  I may do you have any thoughts about P50, how is the training, schedule, and labor-management relationship?

TIA

NU

I am 2 miles from FFZ.  I can hear PHX APP clearly from my window.  (aircraft only).  But the scanner is from like the 70's or 80's so I can't hook it up to the site.  But I was just wondering because I didn't remember it.

Awsome job on the feed though.

Not really. The transmitters are the things that matter. But now it seems that *magically* the transmitters are more powerful.

The 124.1 transmitter/receiver has been a nightmare for us for a long time.  We have been using a new transmitter, I believe in a different location, for about a month now.  It is in a testing phase and still has some blind spots and garbling issues.  From our perspective it is the receiver's blind spots from aircraft 40 miles west that are the problem.  I can't guarantee that the current situation will be the final solution and I know there are times when we do switch back to the old transmitter.  (If there is a bad day for listening, that is why)
Now, if you could only pick up 126.6 and 120.4 clearly, that would be fun.

Hey LH, that would be sweet! However even with my antenna, I can't pick up the controller on verde and freeway at all.

Yea I don't know what the deal is. Last week, excellent quality. Approach came in crystal clear. But today, its really bad. Its not my new reformated computer, because when I unplug the line in, the sound is still the same.
